Conference and workshop presentations

EcoKnow results presented at BPM 2018

Several results from the first half year of EcoKnow are presented at the 16th International conference on Business Process Management (BPM 2018) held in Sydney, September 9-14, 2018.

As the very first regular presentation at the main conference on Tuesday 11th, Tijs Slaats, Associate professor in the section for Software, Data, People & Society at Department of Computer Science, University of Copenhagen, will present the paper Open to Change: A Theory for Iterative Test-Driven Modellingco-authored by Søren Debois (IT University of Copenhagen) and Thomas T. Hildebrandt (University of Copenhagen). The paper describes a general method for iterative, test-driven modelling of workflows and business processes – and concretely how it is supported by DCR Graphs. The iterative, test-driven declarative process modelling supports an incremental, bottom up modelling of workflows that can be validated by end-users and domain experts by tests and simulations.

At the industry program, Thursday 13th Hugo A. Lopez, industrial Postdoc at DCR Solutions and IT University of Copenhagen presents the paper Dynamic Evaluation Forms using Declarative Modeling, co-authored by Rasmus Strømsted (Exformatics and Copenhagen University), Søren Debois (IT University of Copenhagen), and Morten Marquard (DCR Solutions).

Before the main conference starts, Amine Abbad Andaloussi, PhD student at DTU,  as the first regular presentation at the 6th International Workshop on Declarative/Decision/Hybrid Mining and Modelling for Business processes the paper Evaluating The Understandability of Hybrid Process Models Using Eyetracking: First Insights, co-authored by Tijs Slaats, Andrea Burattin (DTU), Thomas Hildebrandt (Copenhagen University) and Barbara Weber (DTU).

Finally, Hugo Lopez will at the demo session demonstrate the tool for modelling declarative processes by simply marking up text, described in the paper The Process Yellow Marker: From Texts to Declarative Processes and Backco-authored by Søren Debois, Thomas Hildebrandt and Morten Marquard,
